Beat's Coffin Lock-in & Rob O'Connor's have scooped a bronze award each at tonight's IMRO Awards.
The awards, which are regarded as the Oscars of the radio industry in Ireland, took place tonight at Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny.
The Coffin Lock-In, which won bronze in the On-Air Competition/ Promotion category took place in City Square Waterford last October, seeing eleven contestants enter a specially designed coffin with the aim of staying closest to the one hour mark to win a cash prize.
The Coffin Lock-In faced stiff competition from 98FM's Big Slide Home, iRadio's Chicken Dance and Red Fm's The Chosen One to name but a few.
Elsewhere, Rob O'Connor picked up bronze in the Specialist Music Broadcaster of the Year category for his show Irish Beats, which airs every Sunday from 6pm.
Not only did Rob have to face off nominees from BBC Radio Ulster, RTÉ Gold & TODAY FM, but also from fellow Beat jock Darren Rice, who received a nomination in the same category for The Saturday Selection.
An honorable mention must also go to Beat News' Ciaran O'Reagan, who garnered a nomination in the Sports Story category for his 'What's the Score?' documentary which placed a spotlight on women in sport.
