The incident follows another close call on Tipp roads earlier in the month when gardaí seized a vehicle over a litany of offences.
Tipperary's Road Policing Unit stopped a navy Volkswagen Bora in Thurles after it was observed the vehicle was being operated without a functioning braking system.
On closer inspection, it was found that the motorist was driving the vehicle without valid tax, insurance or NCT certs.
Taking to the Garda Traffic Twitter account, gardaí wrote: "This car was unable to stop for the Tipperary Roads Policing Unit working in Thurles, as it had no working breaks! The driver also had no Insurance/NCT/Tax."
