Wexford Youths are continuing in their preparations for the upcoming campaign and are revelling in the acquisition of Abbie Brophy.
The electric-paced Brophy has excited at club and International levels, adding real drive down the flanks.
Speaking to Beat Sports, Youths manager Stephen Quinn acknowledged the importance of her signing: "Abbie is a fantastic signing for the club.
"She's a player that has real quality and can make a big impact on a game."
A club statement read: "Wexford Youths Women are delighted to welcome new signing Abbie Brophy!
"The attacking midfielder has spent the past three seasons at Bohemians."
Speaking directly to the club, manager Stephen Quinn said: "We are delighted to have Abbie on board. Her work ethic, experience and all-around ability will bring a lot to the squad.
"She is a talented attacking player, direct and likes to take on opponents. Abbie will add a new dynamic to our attacking unit for the upcoming 2023 season."
Brophy is delighted in making the switch to the South East and has been speaking since her arrival: "I’m really happy to join, I think Youths are a great well-established club and I just felt like it was the right time for a new adventure.
"Overall I want to continue to learn, work hard and improve as a player, both on and off the pitch and help the club challenge for silverware."
The 2023 SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division will kick off on Saturday, 4th March, with Wexford travelling to Galway United on match day one.
