Waterford's Kate Veale is back to the top level of race walking after huge success this morning at the national 20k championships
She welcomed a new personal best 1.37.54 knocking almost 5 minutes off her previous best and secured gold in the process.
Kate's time also was inside the qualifying times for The European cup of race walking and the World universities games but she will have to wait and see what happens with selection by Athletics Ireland which is set to be decided in the near future.
