Waterford's Thomas Barr has made it through to the semi finals of the 400m hurdles at the IAAF World Championships.
However, it wasn't a straightforward path for the 25-year-old from Dunmore East, who featured in the second heat of the session this morning.
After a good start, Barr seemed to slightly lose his footing toward the end and was pipped to fourth place, finishing fifth.
Post-race drama ensued when the Virgin Island's Kyron McMaster was disqualified for jumping on the inside of one of the hurdles and stumbling onto the lane marker, catapulting Barr into fourth place.
It means he will now race in the semi-finals of the event on Monday evening.
Speaking after the race, Barr said he was disappointed to qualify in such a way:
"I didn't really represent myself to where I'm at today, and there were a couple of place where I just messed up the top end a bit and that subsequently messed up my final 100 metres.
"The first 200 I thought were really good.
"I kept everyone on the edge of their seat in that race but I'm looking forward to going out again tomorrow and representing myself a little bit better because I know what I can work on.
He said he has been happy with his form in recent days in training:
"I've been ready to go, but I'm just glad I'm through by the skin of my teeth and into the semi final."
