Former Ballyhale Shamrocks James O'Connor will take charge of the Waterford minor hurlers for the next two years, having been ratified at last night’s County Board meeting.
He will be joined by Gavin O'Brien of Roanmore, Seamus Hannon from Ballyduff Upper and Mount Sion's Nicholas Mackey.
The Waterford minor footballers will see Michael Murphy from Fenor take the hot seat next season.
Dunhill's Mark Nugent, Dale Long from The Nire and Gaultier's Des Kennedy will join him on the sideline.
Pa Kearney has been added to Gary O'Keeffe's Under '20s hurling backroom team.
Elsewhere, it’s hoped that the redevelopment of Walsh Park will begin in the next couple of weeks.
Speaking on the topic, county board chairman Sean Michael O'Regan said: “We're very close. We have a couple of discussions to have with Croke Park, and we have a couple of discussions to have with the Government but we're very, very close.
“We'd still be very hopeful to start in the next week, week and a half.”
