The news comes after the club suffered back-to-back defeats over the bank holiday weekend and would see Morris depart after only 10 games.
The pre-season title favorites have suffered a frustrating start to the campaign and find themselves in 5th position, 9 points off of leaders Cork City.
Speaking after Mondays defeat to Cork City, a clearly frustrated Morris said: “It's a tough weekend, result wise.
“Both games, I don't think either team were stronger than us.
“The goal we gave away, we've enough bodies to deal with the throw in and then don't pick up at the edge of the box.
“There’s no lack of effort or quality and we need the fans to stick with us and stay onboard. It’s the finer details that we’re suffering from.”
