An official Club Statement read: "Waterford FC is delighted to announce that Darragh Power has signed a new long-term deal with the club.
"The defender has been an integral part of the squad since becoming a first-team player, having won the U19 league with the Blues in 2019."
Speaking to waterfordfc.ie, Power said: "First of all, I’m just delighted to be back. I’ve been speaking to the club over the last couple of weeks and I’m just thrilled to finally have it all sorted.
"The club is definitely in the right hands going forward and Waterford FC is a very exciting place to be at the moment.
"I’m buzzing to get back in for pre-season and get back to playing games in front of the incredible Waterford supporters and we’re going to give everything we can to get the club back to the Premier Division."
Manager Danny Searle is keen to ensure strength in depth at the club, allowing for competition in places and the ability to challenge for top honours.
Speaking to Beat Sport, Searle has again reiterated his desire for a return to Premier football: "There's no doubt around what the goal is and that is promotion.
"I think we'll agree that it will be so much easier if we win the league, as opposed to having to play those four games to get through the playoffs. That is certainly our priority."
