Ballyhale Shamrocks legend, TJ Reid, has been nominated to captain the 2019 Kilkenny Senior hurlers, according to the Kilkenny People.
The attacker, who first joined the senior panel in 2007, will take on the position after his club end their campaign in the All-Ireland club championship.
Ballyhale Shamrocks play fellow South East heroes Ballygunner of Waterford on 9th February in the All-Ireland club semi-finals in Thurles.
Reid lead Brian Cody's side to success previously in the 2010 Leinster Championship but lost out to the All-Ireland title after losing to Tipperary.

The 31-year-old was named hurler of the year in 2015 and received All-Stars in 2012, 2014 and 2015.
