It’s a family affair for the Kilkenny Senior Camogie team in terms of the team captaincy this year.
Thomastown sisters Meighan and Anna Farrell have been named as joint captains for the 2019 season.
Anna previously captained the side in 2017 but it’s the first time Meighan will have held that honour.
Last year saw their other sister Shelly captain the side but she will not be available this season having emigrated.
Kilkenny are aiming to go one better this year after suffering heart breaking defeats to Cork in the previous two All Ireland Finals.
Ann Downey’s side begin their League campaign with a home clash against Clare on January 20th.
