Conspiracy theories have circled online since Man United's loss to Aston Villa in the Premier League over the weekend.
Villa took a 1-nill lead at Old Trafford in the 88th minute thanks to Kortney Hause.
Hause then handled Bruno Fernandes’ cross leading to a penalty for Ole Gunnar Solskjær side.
The playmaker blasted the spot-kick high over the bar in injury time, leaving the Red Devils short of points.
Here's where the theories from United fams come in.
Fans have speculated that Fernandes missed the peno on purpose, in order to push Ole further out the door.

Videos from the moment suggest that Pogba can be seen telling Ronaldo not to take it, as they know the Portuguese striker would score.
Secondly, people noticed that Bruno's run-up to the ball is very different from his usual penalty technique.
And finally, when all is said and done, Ronaldo can be seen congratulating his fellow Portuguese teammate for missing the penalty.

People have also speculated that the miss is very similar to Steven Gerrad's in 2011.
According to GiveMeSport, in Liverpool’s final match under Roy Hodgson, Gerrard missed the penalty on purpose to ensure his manager would get fired.
The Reds were 3-1 down when they were awarded a spot-kick at Ewood Park where Gerrard looked uneasy before side-footing the ball miles over the bar.
However, the man himself, Bruno, posted on social media that there is 'no excuses' for the penalty miss and that he'll 'be ready next time'.
No excuses for my penalty miss today. I’m my biggest critic but as always I’ll use it to drive me forward. More than my disappointment though, the team’s loss today is the most important. I’ll be ready next time. pic.twitter.com/tTBgURne8B
