Danny Searle's Waterford are in a far more stable place this time around, with new owner Andy Pilley installing renewed confidence around the club.
Just days before the side's previous end-of-season encounter, then-manager Marc Bircham was relieved of his duties, following a social media outburst against the club's hierarchy.
Turmoil consumed what should have been a controlled evening, with the students running out 2-1 victors on the night.
