Waterford's Thomas Barr has failed to qualify for the final of the 400m hurldes in the European Athletic Championships.
Barr finished in 5th place in his semi-final, despite running a season best.
Earlier Carlow's Marcus Lawler qualified for the semi-finals of the 200m, finishing as a fastest loser in his heat.
Later on at 5.20 Kilkenny's Eoin Everard runs in the 1st round of the 1500m.
