The nine-time Grand Prix winner is currently Lewis Hamilton's teammate at Mercedes.
Bottas - who sits third in the current driver standings - has signed a multi-year deal with the Swiss constructors.
The driver stood on the podium on weekend, placing third at the Dutch Grand Prix, Max Verstappen won the race at his home circuit.
Bottas took to Twitter to express how grateful he was to have driven for the team since he joined five years ago.
And the driver says the race is still on for the championship.

Reports suggest that Alfa Romeo is seeking two new drivers for next season, as Kimi Raikkonen announced his retirement last week.
Bottas will take the Finland native's seat next season, however, the future of Antonio Giovinazzi remains up in the air, as he put in an impressive performance at the weekend, finishing P7 in qualifying, matching his best ever position on the grid, but ended up placing 14th in the race.
