Wexford Youths Women's FC has confirmed that Méabh Russell will be returning for 2023.
The Tipperary defender had a promising campaign in 2022 and fans will be eager to see her bring that form into the new season.

The talented Ireland under age international made a big impression in her first WNL campaign with 26 appearances for the Youths.

A statement from the club reads: "Talented young defender Méabh Russell has confirmed her return for the upcoming season, the Clonmel native made a big impression at Ferrycarrig Park in her first WNL campaign in 2022.
"Méabh made 26 appearances for the Youths (19 starts), scoring her first senior goal in our win over Bohemians at Dalymount Park in August.
"She also had a successful year playing with the Ireland U17 and U19 teams in 2022. The girls in green have progressed to Round 2 Qualifiers for the 2023 UEFA European Championships.
"Another big season to come for Méabh!"
Russell's return adds to the recent signing of Orlaith Deasy.
Deasy is an attacking defender, with a renowned ability to defend key 1V1 situations.
Speaking to Beat Sport, Stephen Quinn said: "Orlaith is a brilliant young attack-minded defender.
"She really impressed us when we faced her in turners cross, so we are absolutely delighted to add her to the squad for the 2023 season."
