England footballer Mason Greenwood is being questioned by police after being arrested on suspicion of rape and assault.
The 20-year-old was arrested by police on Sunday after claims were made against the player by a woman on social media.
Police have until this evening to extend the questioning period by twelve hours, charge or release the footballer.
Manchester United have now suspended the footballer from training or to play any matches "until further notice".
British journalists, meanwhile, have spotted police outside his home in Bowdon, outside Manchester.
Sky's Enda Brady says police responded after photos were posted on social media by a woman, who'd reported 'incidents of physical violence.'
"He is one of the brightest prospects in English soccer", said Enda Brady. "He's been at Manchester Utd from the age of six, while he made his Champions League debut at the age of 17."
On Sunday, police in Manchester said: "An investigation was launched and following inquiries, we can confirm a man in his 20s has since been arrested on suspicion of rape and assault.
"He remains in custody for questioning. Inquiries are ongoing."
