It was originally hoped that he would make a speedy recovery, but a hamstring problem was found to be more serious than first feared.

The Netherlands captain was substituted at half-time during the defeat at Brentford.
Further medical assessments have determined the severity will keep him out for a prolonged period.

Speaking before tomorrow's FA Cup clash with Wolves, manager Jurgen Klopp said "It was a surprise for us and a big blow. The diagnosis was pretty harsh and we talk about weeks, more than a month.
"It's a muscle thing - nothing different to say - it was one sprint too much in that moment."

Klopp's side welcomes the midlands outfit for the third-round tie, having suffered defeat at the same stage in 2018-19.
