The FAI has confirmed that Latvia will be Ireland's first opponent of 2023 with an international friendly at the Aviva Stadium.

The game is set for five days before Ireland's first Euro qualifier against France, with both matches to be hosted at the Aviva.
Stephen Kenny's side will be well supported throughout the campaign with the announcement of a record number of season ticket sales earlier this month, seeing 23,000 already issued for the 2023 campaign.
Ticket details for the March international window are set to be confirmed at a later date.
The Boys in Green hold a 100% record against Latvia in international competition and have only conceded a solitary goal in five outings.
The most recent encounter was a 3-0 friendly win in November 2013, which was the opening game of Martin O'Neill's tenure.
As reported by RTÉ Sport, Stephen Kenny does not want a gruelling fixture before the important tie against Kylian Mbappe's France, with indications of a heavily rotated side for the friendly fixture.
