2012 Paralympic medalist, James Brown, has been banned for 2 years and 6 months for an anti-doping offence.
In a statement, Sport Ireland says Brown admitted a violation of evading sample collections without justification and refusing or failing to submit to Sample collection after notification as authorised.
Brown took bronze in the cycling tandem road time trial during the London 2012 Paralympics.
The partially sighted Portaferry athelete had previously won two gold medals for Great Britain in the 400 and 800m sprints during the 1984 New York Paralympic games.
