Ireland have qualified for this year's T20 Cricket World Cup.
The Irish came into this week's 'A' qualifying tournament in Oman needing to reach the final to qualify for next year's competition.
However, a loss during the week against the United Arab Emirates threatened Heinrich Malan's side's chance of qualifying for the tournament, which they have competed in since 2009.
A shock win by the hosts against the UAE meant Ireland finished first in their group, but had to beat Oman this morning to ensure a final berth and a place in the World Cup.
A strong 47 by Gareth Delany and a very useful cameo by Andy McBrine gave Ireland an average total of 165 to defend in the Middle East.
However, some terrific bowling from the Irish saw Omanese wickets tumble as the sun began to set, knocked all out for just 109 - Delany and Mark Adair combining for a relay catch to put the cherry on top of the win.
The 56-run victory means Ireland will now face the United Arab Emirates in the final, as the second qualifier from the 'A' group.

Two more teams from the 'B' group will join them, however that tournament - involving the likes of the Netherlands, Jersey and Hong Kong - doesn't take place until July in Zimbabwe.
The tournament, which is generally held every two years, has seen the Irish exit at the first round in every edition bar their first outing.
This year's edition will take place in Australia from October 16th.
