Manchester United legend Edwin van der Sar has been moved to a hospital in the Netherlands and remains in intensive care after a brain bleed last week.
The 52-year-old is in stable condition but will be continuously monitored until he is out of immediate danger.
Dutch football club Ajax shared a message on behalf of his wife Annemarie on Saturday.

"Edwin has been repatriated from Croatia on Friday evening and is currently in the intensive care unit of a Dutch hospital," Annemarie was quoted as saying by Ajax Amsterdam.
"His situation remains the same: stable, in a non-life-threatening condition and communicative. The Van der Sar family would like to express their deep gratitude to the 'University Hospital of Split' for their great care during the last week."

The Dutchman was on holiday in Croatia when he suffered a reported cerebral haemorrhage, sparking widespread concern across the globe.
The 52-year-old hung up his gloves in 2011, having accomplished Champions League victories with Ajax and United.
A remarkable International career saw the shot-stopper earn 130 caps for the Netherlands and a solid reputation as one of the best in history.
He returned to his beloved Ajax in November 2012 in a marketing role before earning widespread recognition for his work as Chief Executive in 2016.
