The date that fight fans around the world have been waiting for may have just leaked via the Nevada State Athletic Commission's web calendar!
August 26th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas has been reserved by Mayweather Promotions for an as yet to be announced boxing match, with the arena also booked the day before to host a weigh in.
Negotiations are said to have opened between the UFC's ownership group WME-IMG & Floyd Mayweather's adviser Al Haymon, plus according to sources close to the Mayweather camp, an early Autumn date is favoured.
The as yet unannounced fights will be shown on Showtime, Mayweather's long-time broadcaster of choice in the US but should it in fact prove to be the date for the estimated €500 million plus super fight between Conor McGregor & Floyd Mayweather, then deals will also be struck with international broadcasters.
Conor McGregor himself has remained uncharacteristically quiet on the matter in recent days, only taking to his Instagram yesterday to tease that "Something BIG is coming"
