Floyd Mayweather Junior stretched his unbeaten boxing record to 50 professional fights after seeing off the challenge of Conor McGregor in Las Vegas.
Following months of trash talk - mixed martial arts champion Conor McGregor praised Floyd Mayweather Junior after he was stopped in the 10th round in Las Vegas.
The Irishman made a strong start against his experienced opponent - but was stopped in the 10th round.
He says Mayweather's knowledge of the sport proved too much for him in the end.
"He was a lot more composed under the shots.
"He was a lot more experienced, especially in the later part of it, but early on I thought it was handy enough, to be honest.
"He's composed in there, I've got to give it to him.
That's what 50 pro fights will give you so fair play to him".
Mayweather tweeted to his 7.5 million Twitter followers to thank the fans for their support.
Thank you to the great country of Ireland and all the countries around the world for supporting me.
