A yellow snow ice warning will take effect across the country tonight.
It will be in place from 11 pm until 6 am on Monday morning.
Scattered thundery showers of hail sleet and snow are expected during that time.
Motorists are being warned to watch out for poor visibility and slippery and icy conditions.
