It's still unclear as to who or what parties will make up the new Government. If you voted then you made it clear the outgoing coalition is not who you want in power.
But who will make up our new leaders?
Here's a look at who's been elected so far in the south east, bearing in mind we won't have a full picture until Monday following a recount in Wexford for the remaining two seats there. The count continues in Tipperary today while it's all finished in Waterford and Carlow/Kilkenny
Waterford - 4 seats
Mary Butler (FF), David Cullinane (SF), John Halligan, John Deasy (FG)
Mary Butler is a first time candidate and stormed the polls being the only candidate to be elected on the 1st count, David Cullinane was the next to be elected after the 6th count.
Carlow/Kilkenny - 5 seats
John McGuinness (FF), John McGuinness (FF), John Paul Phelan (FG), Kathleen Funchion (SF), Bobby Aylward (FF) and Pat Deering (FG)
Largely the same line up except for one change, as Labour's Ann Phelan leaves her role and is replaced by Sinn Fein's Kathleen Funchion.
Tipperary - 5 seats
1 elected, Michael Lowry
Independent Michael Lowry is the first and only elected representative so far - the count resumes at 10am. Mattie McGrath is 173 votes off being elected so will most likely be elected early on today.
This has changed from a 6 to a 5 seat constituency so one candidate was always guaranteed to lost their seat.
Wexford - 5 seats
3 elected, Brendan Howlin (Lab), James Brown (FF) and Mich Wallace (Ind)
In a dramatic turn of events the count went through the night until shortly after 5am. Fine Gael's Michael Darcy and Paul Kehoe and Sinn Fein's Johnny Mythen are battling for the last 2 seats.
A recount is taking place Monday from 10am.
