A Wexford woman has gone on trial accused of the murder of her husband in County Wexford two years ago.
32- year old Sarah Doyle of The Heath in Ramsgate Village in Gorey, denies murdering her husband Philip Doyle on January 26th in 2020.
33 year old Philip Doyle was found with serious injuries in the early hours of the morning in the front garden of their home in January 2020 and died shortly after.
The father of three was originally from Bray in County Wicklow but was living in Gorey.
His wife was charged with murder the following May, having initially charged with a lesser offence the day after Mr Doyles death.
The couple had married the previous June.
The trial has opened at the Central Criminal Court which is sitting in Waterford.
Ms Doyle has pleaded not guilty to the charge at the trial, which is expected to last around three weeks.
