A young Wexford woman is urging people to be careful when arranging to meet people from online for buying or selling goods.
The woman who's in her early 20s claims to be have been met by a masked and armed man when she reached the agreed location to sell her phone.
The alleged incident happened in Co Kildare some weeks ago after she agreed to meet the potential buyer from Dublin.
Speaking to Beat news, the young woman outlines what happened:
"We were waiting for about 25 or 30 minutes, so I texted this person again to see how far away they were, because we were about to leave."
"Two seconds later, someone is running at me, opened the door and tried to grab my phone and while he's doing that, he kind of dragged me out of the car."
"The person that was with me seen the hammer in his hand, and tried to get rid of it while he was trying to pull him off me aswell."
