Wexford Festival Opera has been named "Best Festival" at the International Opera Awards.
The gala event was held in London's Coliseum last night.
They were crowned ahead of other shortlisted international operas including;
Festival d'Aix-en-Province (France); Festival Verdi (Parma), Garsington Opera (UK); Lyon Festival (France) Spoleto Festival (USA).

CEO of Wexford Opera is David McLoughlan: "These awards are the Oscars of the opera world.
"We're delighted that Wexford has been nominated on a number of occasions for various awards.
"We won an award in 2013 for best-rediscovered work and that's what we're all about.
"But really the jewel in the crown is the best opera festival award."
