Gardaí in Wexford have arrested two men in connection with what is believed to be a foiled murder attempt on a member of the Hutch family.
At 12:45am this morning, Gardaí challenged a number of men exiting vehicles in a field at Millands, Gorey.
A 27-year-old was arrested at the scene, while a 25-year-old was arrested in a follow-up operation in the area.
The men are said to be from Dublin’s north inner city.
Guns, ammunition and three cars, one with false licence plates, were seized following the intelligence-led arrests.
They are being held at Garda Stations in Gorey and Enniscorthy for questioning.
