Wexford and Waterford updated to Orange Warning ahead of Storm Eunice

Waterford and Wexford are among seven counties that have been updated to an Orange wind warning ahead of Friday's Storm Eunice.

The rest of the South East and the country is under a yellow wind, rain and snow warning.

The Orange alert comes into effect from 5am on Friday and is expected to last until 11am the same day while the entire country is to experience the yellow warnings until 3pm on Friday.

Met Eireann is warning that Storm Eunice will bring severe and potentially damaging winds, gusting up to 130km/h, higher in exposed areas. Some disruption is also expected along with a possibility of coastal flooding.

Meanwhile, due to the weather warning in place on Friday, there are temporary road closures around Dublin Port.

The Great South Wall will be closed for a 24 hour period on Friday, while the Bull Wall Bridge will be closed from 10am until 4pm.
