The unseasonal settled spell we've had across the South East this January isn't set to hang around for much longer.
A high-pressure system that has dominated this month's weather is set to make way for a low-pressure set-up this weekend.
Calm conditions are forecast to deteriorate on Saturday morning with showery patches of rain and a strong breeze dominating.
The weather will briefly improve however on Saturday afternoon, with an increased chance of sunny spells.
Winds will pick up again on Sunday with outbreaks of rain possible in all parts in the afternoon.
Taking to Twitter, Carlow Weather's Alan O'Reilly pinpointed Sunday as the day our weather will change.
"Sunday [is] still looking wet and windy for a time with latest charts here showing the track of a low system."
