We're being urged to shop local in the run-up to the festive season.
The call comes from Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce following a tough 18 months on businesses during the pandemic.
Speaking to Beat news, Chamber President Colin Ahern, says we should be supporting local;
"To make sure that we get what we want and that we support our locality and our cities and where we live. It's so important that we shop local and we click local wherever we possibly can."
He says doing so will help reduce your carbon footprint and help local businesses who have had a hard year and a half;
"Now more than ever it's so important that we shop and buy things for our friends and families in a sustainable manner. One of the best ways to do that is to buy local."
