A Waterford TD is holding a public meeting on the future of rural Post Offices tomorrow.
Fianna Fail TD Mary Butler will host the meeting at the Rainbow Hall in Kilmacthomas at 8pm.
She says it's important to protect the future of the post office network: "The reason why I decided to hold this public meeting was because I'm seriously concerned with the future of local post offices and especially the future of rural post offices.
"In recent weeks, we have heard that the government are considering closing up to 300 post offices and some of these may be in Waterford.

"The purpose of this meeting is to hear ideas from the public about what services they want to see provided in their local post offices."
