One driver in Co. Waterford had his experience at the beach cut short.
Over the weekend, Gardaí attached to Waterford Roads Policing Unit stopped a motorist in Tramore.
Officers initially stopped the driver for holding a mobile phone while driving.
Upon further inspection of the vehicle, it was discovered that the motor tax expired 104 days ago and NCT expired last September.
Gardaí fined the driver fined and the vehicle was impounded.
