University Hospital Waterford has postponed all elective procedures, due to problems with its water supply.
The hospital says the move is a precautionary measure as there are fears over the quality of water.
It says the situation is being monitored closely and it expects full service to resume later this evening.
The HSE issued a statement saying difficulties with the water supply from one of the reservoirs in Waterford, had led to the postponement of procedures for 24 hours, as a precautionary measure.It said the situation was being closely monitored and it was expected that a full service would resume, once the water satisfied clinical standards.
