Gardai are warning parents to think twice when posting pictures of their children on social media.
Schools are back this week and many will celebrate the occasion by posting snaps of their kids in their uniform on the likes of Facebook.
However, the Gardai's Cyber Crime Bureau have issued guidance online to help parents and kids be "Cyber Smart".
Detective Sergeant Paul Johnstone is part of the bureau and says there are bad actors online who may misuse the images.
"They're not the only that are browsing, and are interested, in those images."
"There are exploiters online, who are looking for the same types of images."
"The kind of things they're looking for are anything that will identify either the child, the location, or anything that gives them a link into the child or the infant."
