The agents of Peter Sallis have announced his death at the age of 96.
The actor is probably best known as the voice of Wallace in the popular Wallace & Gromit franchise. He also played Norman "Cleggy" Clegg in Last Of The Summer Wine throughout its entire run from 1973 to 2010.
His agents, Jonathan Altaras Associates released the following statement:
"It is with sadness that we announce that our client Peter Sallis died peacefully, with his family by his side, at Denville Hall on Friday, 2 June."
