Two people have died after a light aircraft crashed at Newtownards Airport in County Down.
Emergency services attended the scene of the incident at around 8:20pm last night following a 999 call.
One eyewitness said the plane crashed into hedges located near a restaurant .
A PSNI spokesperson said police and other emergency services attended the scene of a crash involving a light aircraft at the airport.
