Trump claims his home had been 'under siege' during FBI search

FBI agents have apparently raided Donald Trump's Florida home as part of an investigation into Presidential records.

Donald Trump claims his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida has been "raided and occupied".

Officials have been investigating boxes of documents containing classified information which were taken to Mar-a-Lago after Mr Trump's presidency.

It appears to be a significant escalation by investigators looking into whether the former President removed official White House records without permission.

He says his "beautiful home" is "under siege" from the government agency.

However there has been no official comment about the raid.

Bloomberg reporter Bruce Einhorn says the former President is claiming it was politically motivated.

"Trump said 'they even broke into my safe' and he is avid that Democrats, who desperately don't want him to run for President in 2024, are mistreating him."

Speaking recently, Mr Trump told the Conservative Political Action Conference he's being unfairly targeted.

"Never forget everything this corrupt establishment is doing to me, is all about preserving their power and control over the American people.

They want to damage me in any form so I can no longer represent the hard working citizens of our country."
