Tributes have poured in following the sudden passing of Kilkenny school girl, Lucy Doyle.
The much loved 6th year student attended Presentation Secondary School Kilkenny.
Lucy passed away at St. Luke's Hospital Kilkenny on Sunday, January 2nd.
The student's former school has shared a touching tribute to Lucy on social media. It reads: "It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the death of our much loved 6th year student, Lucy Doyle. Lucy's warm smile and charisma will be sorely missed by all in our school community."
A former Pres student commented: "There are just no words. Very fond memories of Lucy. May she rest in peace."
Another Facebook user said: "You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you can find the strength to guide you through. Rest in peace Lucy."
While a devastated local added: "Just heartbreaking. Rest in Peace beautiful Lucy."
Requiem Mass for Lucy will be celebrated on Friday at 10.30 am in St. John's Church with funeral afterwards at St. Kieran's Cemetery.
