TV colleagues and friends have been paying tribute to the comedy actor and writer Caroline Aherne, who's died from cancer at the age of 52.
She'll best be remembered as the star and co-creator of the sitcom the Royle Family and more recently, as the narrator of Gogglebox.
But she's also well known for her part as a weather girl in the BBC sketch series The Fast Show - as well as for The Mrs Merton Show:
Actor Steve Coogan paid this tribute : "I loved her. She used to make me cry with laughter. This is the first time she's made me cry without laughter".
Ricky Tomlinson, who played her on-screen father Jim in The Royle Family, told The Sunday Mirror : "I’m so bloody shocked. She was absolutely wonderful and amazing to work for. Kind, funny, witty. A true professional and one of the most generous people I ever worked with. She never talked about her health, ever. I can never ever remember her complaining".
