Tributes are pouring out for a Kilkenny who died in a car crash earlier this week.
The single-car crash happened at Dowling in Piltown at around 8 o'clock on Wednesday night.
Cian Mooney (17) of Moneenroe, Castlecomer. who was a passenger in the car, died at the scene.
Two other males, who were also in the car, have been taken to University Hospital Waterford for treatment.
Tributes have been made on social media from local sports clubs and his former primary school.
Moneenroe National School Parents Association posted on Facebook saying that Cian was "a pleasure to teach" and "always represented our school so well."
Cloneen Hurling Club also paid tribute to the young Kilkenny man, saying he was "a talented hurler".
Cian's funeral service will take place at his home on Monday at 11am.
