The X Factor auditions that were to take place this evening at Factory in Waterford have been cancelled along with all auditions.
Management at the Factory say that they were only informed of the decision by The X Factor team this morning.
They have apologised to anyone that was intending to audition and for the late notice.
It's reported today that X Factor is to get a massive revamp to try to boost viewing figures.

According to the Daily Star in the UK, Simon Cowell is planning to axe the public auditions.
Instead celebrities will be drafted in to rejuvenate the talent show - which saw ratings drop last year.
