The South East is encouraged to sport the green ribbon as part of National Time to Talk day.
Organised by See Change, National Time to Talk aims to get people to talk about mental health in a bid to stop the stigma that surrounds it.
Green ribbons will be available in various locations throughout the 5 counties today as part of the initiative.
Campaign Manager for See Change Hazel Whelan told Beat News about some of the other events that will be taking place in the region:
"See change will launch our partnership with TaxiWatch.ie to help bring mental health awareness to Kilkenny, so we'll be launching that at 5 o clock today at the Mayors office in Kilkenny.
"One of our See Change ambassadors Nicola Hynes will speak at a mental health awareness coffee morning in Clonmel and we'll be working with the Catholic girl guides of Ireland and they're distributing [green] ribbons at railway stations in Waterford and Wexford today."
