The 2016 Tipperary International Peace Award will be presented to the Syria Civil Defence White Helmets tomorrow.
The volunteer organisation operates in parts of rebel-controlled Syria and in Turkey responding to bombs and evacuations of dangerous areas.
Over 200 of the unarmed volunteers have lost their lives while attempting to save others to date.
Their bravery will be recognised tomorrow at the ceremony in Tipperary which gets underway at 12 pm midday at Ballykisteen Hotel.
Representatives of the Government, Diplomatic Corps, Gardaí, Defence Forces, Irish Air Corp will be in attendance along with representatives of the Syrian Community in Ireland and the Irish Syria Solidarity Movement.
UNHCR Ireland, Irish Refugee Council, UNICEF, Front Line Defenders will all be represented at the ceremony.
