The Dail will this afternoon debate plans for the new National Children's Hospital.
A motion by the Rural Independent Group asks why the current plan is going ahead despite concerns over access and spiraling costs.
Also attending the debate, are families of some of the children who use the country's EXISTING pediatric services
Mattie McGrath is a TD for Tipperary.
He spoke to Beat News, and said the location for the new hospital is wrong.
"Time is up for this decision. They tell us it can't be changed, we believe it can."
"We believe the St. James site is wrong for children, wrong for parents and wrong for families from the start."
"We are calling on every TD to support our motion and to vote to change the decision because it's in the wrong place."
The cost has gone from €400 million to €1 billion in costs, and that's without any explanations, a fit-out or even IT."
