Why has no one created this sooner?
A new app has launched in Lithuania, allowing potential pet owners swipe through their potential dog matches in a Tinder-like-style.
Called GetPet, the app was launched last month and has already enabled some matches.
This new app joins others, like PawsLikeMe and BarkBuddy, designed with people looking to adopt a dog in mind.
“It is like Tinder, but with dogs,” said Vaidas Gecevicius, one of app’s creators. “You can arrange a meeting with the dog — a date.”
Once the app is downloaded to your smartphone, you can see photos of dogs that are available for adoption, alongside information about them. Key details, including their temperament are outlined. If you think it looks like a match, you can swipe right and begin the process of arranging it's adoption.
It's reported that app could add cats and other animals over time.
