Three kayakers had to be rescued near Newtown Cove earlier with Tramore Lifeboat tasked to the scene.
The callout came at 12.36 with the boat on site within two minutes of alert.
One of the kayakers had fallen into the water and the group of three were brought back to the boathouse by the lifeboat.
Two men were treated for mild hypothermia while one man had to be brought to University Hospital Waterford for severe hypothermia.

All are expected to make a full recovery.
