Curracloe Beach in Co. Wexford has been voted the best beach in Ireland in a survey by walkers.
The iconic 10km beach featured in such films as the 1998 film 'Saving Private Ryan' and 2015's 'Brooklyn'.
Features of the Wexford beach noted by visitors include 'The Raven Nature Reserve' at the south end as well as it's sand dunes which are home to a great number of geese over the winter.
The blue flag beach was also commended for its lifeguards, facilities including parking and closeness to Wexford town itself.
The South-East was represented for a second time on the list, with Tramore coming in 8th place.
