Met Eireann is predicting largely dry and sunny conditions, with temperatures reaching 20 degrees over the next few days.
The forecaster says there could be a light shower in the north and east on Sunday, before becoming cloudier later that night.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather says we are in for a very pleasant weekend of weather: ' There's going to be lots of sunshine. It's not going to be wall to wall sunshine for the entire country but most areas will enjoy some warm sunshine. '
